In order to really understand Yamuna body rolling it's important to understand balance and alignment. You see there is a certain way that your body is supposed to work and in our daily lives that alignment and balance is altered by many factors:
- Sitting in a chair all day
- Your sleeping position
- Overcompensating for an injury
- Carrying large bags/purses
The theory behind Yamuna's methodology is to realign and fix the changes. One way that this is accomplished is through body rolling. The way body rolling works is very special and it has to do with a way to treat those factors I listed above. What would you normally think you needed if you had one of those factors affecting you? What would your friends and family tell you that you need? What would you maybe get as a gift card on your birthday that would soothe and help you relax and realign your body?

Body rolling is how you massage yourself. I can't tell you how many times I've had this thought: "Man, I've been sitting in front of this computer for three hours straight and I have to get this work done... my back is killing me. I wish I could just reach around my back with a massager and really apply some pressure where it hurts. But I can't because I'm not stretch armstrong."
